The Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s Bullring is a 3/8-mile banked asphalt oval and the host track for the Senator’s Cup Fall Classic. Jeremy Doss was one of the prerace favorites going into the 2018 Super Late Model Senator’s Cup Fall Classic race but nothing in racing is final until the checkered flag flies.
The front row was Chris Cline and Noah Gragson. Doss qualified 7th and by the halfway break had made his way up to the 4th position. The leader at the break was Gracin Raz and he looked like he had one of the cars to beat. Another driver spending time at the front of the pack was Trevor Cristiani.
A late race restart set up a battle with Doss in the lead, a hard charging Gracin Raz caught Doss and made the pass for the lead with two laps to go. Doss fought back on the last lap and was able to make the pass on Raz coming out of turn two. Raz did everything he could to get back to the front but couldn’t clam the top spot.
It probably wasn’t as easy as Doss would have liked, but it was a great race to the finish with Doss getting the win and a check for $15,000.
It was a great short track Saturday Night showdown!
